Every year, Paris transforms into a world hub for contemporary art, featuring works by approximately 1,500 leading artists from around the world. The International Contemporary Art Fair, or @fiacparis, draws thousands of people to the City of Lights' Grand Palais, Petit Palais, Tuileries Gardens, Musée Eugène Delacroix, and Place Vendôme. At this year's FIAC, @Gagosian presented new works by @katharina_grosse with the large sculpture, "Ingres Wood" (2018), pictured, anchoring the gallery's exhibition at the Grand Palais. Here, tree trunk segments from a pine tree felled last year and planted by Jean-August Dominique Ingres (1720-1867) piles over draping fabric, brought together by spray paint.
